Billing Process

The exams and care for dry eye disease and ocular surface disease fall under your medical insurance.  Some services and care are not covered by insurance and you will be billed directly for them. There may be co-pays, deductibles or a percentage of costs that you will pay out-of-pocket as required by your insurance policy.

Stoughton Eye Care & Eyewear policy is co-pays and certain diagnostic tests and treatments are due at the time services are rendered. We will be happy to bill to your insurance and after your insurance company determines what they will cover any remaining costs due to deductibles, co-insurance or percentages of cost will be billed to you.  

Contact Your Insurer Before Visiting Us

Your insurance is a contract between you, your employer and the insurance company; not with the doctor. We encourage you to speak with your insurance company PRIOR to your appointment about your plans specific details. Then, as always, feel free to ask us questions about how they will apply to your upcoming visit.
